RAWALPINDI: Director General of Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor will address an important press conference on Friday (today). According to the army’s media wing, the DG ISPR will address the press conference at 3:00pm. He will remark on the significant national issues and persisting situation in the country.  The press conference comes at a time when Pakistan and neighbouring India face heightened tensions after the Pulwama attack in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. The attack followed New Delhi's blaming of Islamabad for the incident, which was strongly denied by the Pakistani leadership. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday conducted a search raid at the residence of Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, who was  earlier  detained   in a case pertaining to assets beyond known income. NAB officials accompanied by Rangers cordoned off the residence of Agha Siraj Durrani and searched his house for  several hours. The anti-graft watchdog reportedly confiscated important files and other records during the raid.  The anti-graft watchdog team entered the house after showing the search warrants to the Durrani's family, who were reportedly  present in the house at he time of raid.  Earlier in the day, Speaker Sindh Assembly had been nabbed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday in a case pertaining to assets beyond known income.
